This is signed Christmas gift copy. A Christmas 1930 message on dark blue paper is tipped onto the front free end paper and Booth has signed under the message in a fountain pen. The vertical line of the "B" smeared a bit, affecting the line she drew under her signature The text of the message reads, "Never forgetting the delightful association surrounding our united efforts for the cause of the unemployed, with deep gratitude for your very valuable assistance, and with my heartfelt wishes for a joyous and blessed Christmas, I present this little book with the prayer that through love for all men the peace of Christ shall ever abide with you, making all years new."

Text block is tight and clean with no marks, although the paper is a bit toned from age . Blue paper over boards with black title, Salvation Army logo and decoration embossed on the front cover. The spine has sun-faded to mor of a teal. Corners are sharp. There is a small nick at the bottom of the front cover and some shelf wear at the head and foot of the spine. There are some light spots on the covers and a light brown smear on the back cover. The top page edges are slightly gray from exposure. The side and bottom page edges are pretty clean.
