A disbound copy of a report on a survey of two locations on the shore of Lake Erie in Pennsylvania. The report includes two large (17" x 22") folded maps. One shows a proposed location at the mouth of Twenty Mile Creek (located near the state line east of Erie, PA) for a pier to create a protected landing space for farmers in the area. It includes details on the construction of the pier and soundings in the area of the harbor. The second shows the mouth of Elk Creek (located west of Lake City, PA), including the channel that extends into the lake and soundings of the depth of the lake. The report is Document No, 23 for the House of Representatives in the 1st Session of the 23d Congress.

Text block is free from marks, other than the number 23 written at the top in a contemporary hand. House of Representatives document disbound from a collection of congressional reports. Moderately foxed throughout. The second map has a 2" tear close to the left bound-in edge of the map, not affecting any text.
